Memoways is a young Swiss company based in Geneva, created in 2011.
The founders are Ulrich Fischer and Nicolas Goy; starting with the "Walking the Edit" project in 2007, they developed a unique concept for managing and leveraging data in the cloud proposing innovative mobile data uses.
Our mission is to elaborate an intuitive and powerful software toolset that enables content producers or providers to easily create an interactive storyworld in which the spectator can playfully “dive in” while being mobile.
With our toolset, it will be possible to create exciting new applications: generative audio and video guides; multi-layered maps; interactive movies, geolocalized games…
“Memoways” stands for multiple and surprising ways (stories) through a shared audiovisual memory (content database).
In the age of transmedia storytelling, where big brands and content providers discover the power of personalization of the user experience, engagement by storytelling and participation by “User Generated Content”, there is an urgent need to build new tools that create the conditions for the adequate computing on the shared data.
Our toolset addresses the problem many content producers and providers have: to use software that is not adequate for leveraging content within the new possibilities and limits of mobile computing.
The company is currently "hosted" within C-SIDE Productions, where it is working with several partners to develop the Memoways webapp for a variety of products.
